What is the Takt Construction System (TCS)?
The Takt Construction System, also known as TCS, is a technique of rhythm and flow used for projects that have repetitive processes, adding tools from LEAN, Six Sigma, and more.
How does the TCS work in construction?
Construction projects are a manufacturing process for creating spaces with services. By dividing those spaces into zones and working packages, adding rhythm, flow, buffers, and more, it is possible to create a Takt Schedule for construction projects.
How is TCS better than the traditional use of Gantt/CPM?
There are many ways to create a schedule for a project, but the TCS instead of taking the project as a whole unit, divides the work into phases, then zones, even units, then sets the same speed of work for crews and contractors, and all that is reflected on a program full of color. This adds up into a schedule that is easy to read, understand, update, and share with the teams; it also will show if any activity or contractor is having issues and what could lead to a delay on the project.
Does TCS really works?
Yes, the Takt Construction System is used today giving excellent results for projects, but as everything else, it is part of a more complex system that requires commitment from contractors to work on a rhythm that benefits the project and everyone involved. We have worked with different types of contractors, projects, and sizes, always getting the best results from it and having everyone involved in the project and the schedule.

Companies using a Takt Construction System have lowered the use of the risk found and increment their revenue thanks to a better planning.
Some contractors obtain bonuses for early finish and investors obtain the benefits of spending less and having their new properties ready to operate and start making money sooner.
At Mora Takt Plan, we are ready to make the project a priority and money a means, not the measure, of our success.

Absolutely. It is never too late to bring stability to a project. Implementing a Takt Schedule mid-stream allows us to perform a "Diagnostic Audit" of your current progress and establish a clear, rhythmic path forward.
While Takt is most powerful when used from Day 1, many companies partner with Mora Takt Plan when their projects are already facing challenges or delays. In these scenarios, our primary goal is Stabilization and Mitigation.
While we cannot always guarantee the recovery of 100% of previously lost time—as this depends on the project's current state and constraints—we provide the most efficient strategy to stop the "bleeding," reduce further delays, and ensure the remaining phases are executed with precision and predictability.

A takt system requires more than just good planning, task execution in the rhythm and flow from the crews is necessary.
As a system, TCS is more than just one thing to succeed in a project; LEAN tools, implement the 5´s, avoid the 8 wastes, make a risk analysis, and more is necessary to reach the goal and the team of Mora Takt Plan is ready to help you with that.

Crews, foreman’s, PE´s, PM’s, Directors, and everyone on the company that relates to the construction of the project should be taught on how to read and understand a takt schedule; it is so visual that it can take about 10 minutes to explain.
An intro course on the takt methodology is recommended for Foreman’s, Directors, Vice Presidents, and Chiefs as a basic.
A full course on the methodology for PM´s, PE´s, & the Scheduling Team is recommended as they will be part of the team that will help on updating the program every week.
